SPEECH: Brian Anderson is tops in nation

LaRue County High School senior Brian Anderson added two accolades to his growing collection last week.

He was named a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Steve Beshear and learned he is ranked first in the nation in Speech and Debate.

State Representative Terry Mills nominated Anderson for the Colonel’s commission and presented it to him Wednesday at the high school as his coach, Katy Cecil; Superintendent Sam Sanders; and LCHS Principal Kyle Goodlett looked on.

“You have a star there,” said Mills.
