  • Time limits every individual. All of us live within a twenty-four-hour day and most days you probably feel rushed or like too many items have gone unmet. Part of handling this issue centers on our stewardship of time. In Ephesians 5:15-16 the Apostle Paul wrote, “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”

  •      The Christian religion is something we should talk about for we have found something wonderful --- God loves us in spite of our sins, Christ died to save us and we have a wonderful Savior. The Psalmist said, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so” (107:2). Before Jesus ascended back to the Father He said, “Ye shall be witnesses unto me” (Acts 1:11).

  • COURT BRIEFS

    Dustin Robert Allen entered a guilty plea to receiving stolen property (firearm) and is recommended to receive three years on a pretrial diversion program. His case is scheduled for a review on March 5, 2018 at 9 a.m. in LaRue County Circuit Court.

    Anthony J. Blackford failed to appear and had a bench warrant issued for his arrest.

    William Embry entered a guilty plea to an amended charge of carrying a concealed deadly weapon and is recommended to receive 12 months probation.

  • 4-H Dog Club

    The 4-H Dog Club will meet at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 21 at the club leaders home on 100 Carter Brothers Road in Hodgenville.

    Cooking Club

    The Cooking Club will meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Monday, October 23 at the LaRue County Extension Office.  New members are welcome to attend.

    4-H Cloverbuds

    4-H Cloverbuds will meet from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24 at the LaRue County Extension Office to participate in pumpkin decorating.

  • The Fall Revival at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home was a great success and well attended by residents, family and friends. Everyone was revived after the word from Reverend David Miller and Reverend Billy Curle.

    Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Courtney Williamson on the arrival of their son Samson James Williamson who was born September 2. Sue Williamson is the proud grandmother.

    This Thursday evening at 6 p.m. will be choir rehearsal at First Baptist.
