  • Josh and Emily Morris of Lexington announce the birth of a daughter, Hadley Grace Morris, born Jan. 29, 2011.  
    Hadley was welcomed home by her older sister, Riley Morris.  
    Maternal grandparents are Jeff and Cindy Heady of Magnolia. Paternal grandparents are Mary Gaines Locke and Dale Morris of Hodgenville. Great-grandparents are Bobby and Ruby Heady of Hodgenville, Anna Mae Miller of Magnolia and Bernice Morris of Hodgenville.  
     

  • Krista Lauren Fulkerson and Corey Allen Salsman were married May 21, 2011, at First General Baptist Church in Leitchfield.
    Krista is the daughter of David and Mona Fulkerson of Grayson Springs. She is the granddaughter of Mary Louise and the late Damon R. Lasley Sr. and Leigh Limer and the late Gene Fulkerson.
    She is a 2007 graduate of Grayson County High School and is currently studying business administration-management at Western Kentucky University and works for First Federal Savings Bank.

  • Mr. and Mrs. Wendell A. Pottinger of Magnolia would like to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Courtney Elizabeth Pottinger to Hamzeh M. Hassouneh.
    The bride to be is a student at Kentucky State University and will graduate May 2012 with a degree in chemistry.
    The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mufid Hassouneh of Amman, Jordan. Hassouneh is a student at Indiana University and will graduate December 2012 with a degree in accounting and finance.

  • Kenneth Wayne Sanders graduated April 29 from Great Lakes Naval Command Station.
    Sanders, 18, is the son of Kenneth “Nicky” Nichols of Buffalo and Angela Sanders of Arizona. He and his wife, Emily-faith Sanders, will visit friends and family during his scheduled leave May 20-June 1.

    Sanders, 18, is the son of Kenneth “Nicky” Nichols of Buffalo and Angela Sanders of Arizona. He and his wife, Emily-faith Sanders, will visit friends and family during his scheduled leave May 20-June 1.

  • Wayne and Juanita Enlow of Hodgenville celebrated their 50th anniversary May 13, 2011, at their home on Leafdale Road.
    The couple married May 12, 1961, at Hodgenville Christian Church by Rev. Charles Woodall. They have two children, Mike Enlow and Susan Vowels; and four grandchildren Paige and Hailey Enlow and Brock and Mallory Vowels. Their children and grandchildren gave the reception for family.

  • Pleasant Grove Baptist Memorial Day Service
    Pleasant Grove Baptist Church will hold a Memorial Day and homecoming service at 10:30 a.m. May 29. The service will include special music, a report by the cemetery committee and a message by Pastor Rick Trumbo. A meal will follow the service. All members, former members and anyone with family buried in the church cemetery are invited to attend.
