  • The annual Jaggers family reunion was June 23, 2013, at Sportsman’s Lake in Hodgenville.

We were blessed with sunshine, good food, and lots of loving family. Great fellowship was always a blessing in the Kate and Everett Jaggers family. They had seven daughters, Allie, Bertha, Virgie, Sallie, Mary, Iva and Pauline. This family tradition was started many years ago at the request of Kate and Everett.

They wanted their descendants to stay close. To this day we still carry on this annual event.

  • The Dock and Josephine Heath family reunion was July 19, 2013, at South Fork Baptist Church in Hodgenville.

  • Sunday was the annual homecoming of Levelwoods United Methodist Church. It was a great day and the weather was like a late fall day. Many families and friends traveled from various locations to return home for this day. Levelwoods has been in existence for 217 years.

The church began when Rev. John Baird, a Methodist circuit rider, preached a sermon at the residence of his brother-in-law Phillip Reed on Aug. 7, 1796. This led to the organization of Levelwoods Methodist Church.
