Pumpkin Trunkin’ 5K and Family Event

  • As a child, I recall teachers and other influential individuals challenging me to set my sights on a goal in the future and strive for that goal. They spoke of the importance of setting the sights to remain focused and centered while progressing toward a goal. Such a mentality guards against the threat of distraction or derailment on the journey.

  • Since 1917 when it was written, many men in the army have sung, “You’re in the army now. You’ll never get rich by digging a ditch. You’re in the army now.”

Even longer than that, believers --- men, women, boys and girls --- have sung, “We’re in the Lord’s army.” The Apostle Paul told the Ephesians in 6:10-20 they were soldiers of Christ, and that they were to “be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might.”
