    Booth reservations are now being taken for the annual Extension Expo at the LaRue County High School gym on March 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Approximately 75 local businesses and organizations are planning to participate. Call the LaRue County Extension Office at 270-358-3401 for more information or to sign up for a booth space.   • Thought for the week: Note to self, I am allowed to cry. I am allowed to scream. But, I am not allowed to give up. It will all get done somehow. Just Breathe.

    How awesome that we have two LaRue County residents that will be on the TV show Cake Wars, Sarah Anthony of Sugar Fashion Cakes and her sister Katie Roberts. The show will air on Monday, February 29 at 9 p.m. on the Food Network. I am proud to say I am friends with these two young ladies and so proud of them.

  • Last week Reverend Jerry and Rosalyn Wilkinson along with John Smith attended the Pastors’ Conference at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville.

    Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Elder Joseph Payne who passed away last Wednesday. He was the pastor of Eunice Church of God in Columbia. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

    Let’s keep praying for William “Teapot” Handley who isn’t feeling well.

    First Baptist Church is hosting a free Lenten lunch each Thursday through March 24, 2016. Each week will feature a free lunch, Bible study, and weekly giveaways.
