    Another Relay for Life has come and gone and once again. LaRue County has done an excellent job in supporting this great cause as they raised $60602.49. Way to go to all the teams and individuals that dedicated so much time and energy into this great cause.

  • Sunday, May 29, was the McDougal family reunion at the Hodgenville Community Center. Sunday was also Communion Sunday at First Baptist and Lane Lincoln. Arneva Smith was recognized, as she celebrated her 89th birthday. She is the second oldest member at First Baptist.

  • Have you noticed how many new movies and TV shows feature the devil and his demons? Why do you suppose this is? Here are two reasons why this is and what we can do about it.

  • How many words have been used recently in commencement addresses in America on how to succeed in the days ahead?  Quite a lot.  Supposedly, those giving words of encouragement have succeeded in some field of endeavor themselves.  It is accurately assumed that people will listen to a model of success, but are negligent  in reading a manual on how to succeed.    Many say, “When all else fails, read the manual.”
