  • Peace is a gift from God

Peace is one of the major concerns of the Bible. In the Bible God is described as the God of peace. Jesus was called the “Prince of peace.” He came to bring “on earth peace, good will toward men.” As He prepared to return to His Heavenly Father, He said, “Peace I leave with you.”

  • Five New Year Opportunities

2016 is gone and 2017 is here. It’s hard to believe! What a year we leave behind! What does the year ahead hold? Only the Lord knows. He is in control, no matter how out of control our years may seem to be. Regardless of what the Lord has ahead, we can be intentional in 2017 to not miss the opportunities the Lord has given us.

  • Thoughts for a New Year

Have you ever driven on an unfamiliar road in a very dense fog?  It was not a very enjoyable experience, was it?

You were tense and nervous not knowing what was just a few feet in front of you.

We could compare this experience to where we are today as we have entered a new year.  2017 is cloaked in mystery. We do not know what is out there in the days ahead.  Someone referred to these as “the unopened tomorrows” that only time will reveal.

  • A world without Christ

As we approach the end of 2016 and launch into 2017, many of us will be making resolutions for the new year. These resolutions will range from losing weight to spending less time with technology and more time with actual people. But one resolution that must ever be present in the life of a believer is to live out a life that is centered on the leading and presence of Christ. The Apostle Paul declares to a young Timothy three important characteristics of a believer in 2 Timothy 2:4-6 in the usage of three illustrations.

  • The response of the shepherds and you

The shepherds said, “Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the lord hath made known unto us” (Luke 2:15).  The day of our Lord’s birth is earth’s most significant event.
