  • Freedom of choice doesn't come without consequences

God gives us freedom of choice, but our choices have consequences. We are free to spend our time on our own selfish pursuits, but we may not have friends or a close family life. We are free to pursue wealth at any cost, but we may end up with lots of money and no joy in spending it. We are free to hurt ourselves or improve ourselves, build our family life or tear it down, sin or pursue righteousness, but we must live with the consequences of whatever we decide.

  • You can win over temptation

Man’s oldest problem is temptation. Adam and Eve were the first to be tempted in the Garden of Eden. Today, every man eventually faces temptation.

Temptations are designed by Satan to cause us to sin. How can we say ‘‘no” to temptation, when we want to say ‘‘yes?”

  • Life is full of decisions

Life is full of decisions. Frank Borham said, “We make our decisions and then our decisions make us.” Daily we have to evaluate, decide and draw conclusions.

The quality of your life is determined by the kind of decisions you make. Some decisions you regret making and others you feel good about. The possibility of error is always there, because we are human.

  • Life and death reside in God's territory

My brother and I were blessed to have a mother who lived to age 95.

Death is a word we desire to put in the back of our minds even though we know it is inevitable and in God’s plan. Every activity has an appointed time (Psalm 31:15).

  • Christ will crush rebellion

In Revelation 11:12, the witnesses are resurrected.

“Now after the three-and-a-half days, the breath of life from God entered them and they stood on their feet and great fear fell on those who saw them. And they heard a loud voice from Heaven saying to them, ‘Come up here.’ And they ascended to Heaven in a cloud and their enemies saw them.”

Revelation 11:15-19 describes the seventh trumpet and the kingdom proclaimed: “The Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ and He shall reign forever and ever.”

  • Bible doesn’t reveal the 'seven thunders'

Revelation 10:1-7 discusses the mighty angel with the little book. The seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered and do not write them.

In these verses, the seven thunders are not revealed.

Revelation 10:8-11: John eats the little book.
