  • Ten Truths About Forgiveness

Forgiveness is hard. Our hurts are real, often deep, and frequently long-lasting. Bitterness and un-forgiveness are more present and dangerous than we realize

Forgiveness Requires Confession. Before we can “get right” with people, we must “be right” with God. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

  • Living Today

The Psalmist said, “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).  This is a prescription for the soul, which can give zest, sparkler and determination to your life.

We promise ourselves tomorrow, projecting our joys, opportunities, and even our living into the future.  Some endure the present waiting for a better time tomorrow.  But dreams of tomorrow should not rob us of today.

  • Time

The older I get, the more I realize how quickly time passes by. There is never enough time in a day. Some days we wish would slow down to enjoy them more and other days we wish would fly by so that the suffering may pass by more quickly. Some past things we wish we could forget and some future things we wish we could know. Time matters and God has a lot to say about it!

“yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.” (James 4:14)

  • God Bless Mothers

This Sunday is a very important day in the life of our nation.  Mother’s Day was born in 1876 in a small Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia, when the nation was still mourning their Civil War dead.

Mrs. Anna Reeves Jarvis was teaching a Memorial Day lesson in her church.  She thought of mothers who had lost their sons in the war and prayed that one day there would be a “memorial” day for mothers.

  • A Faith That Destroys Walls

On June 12, 1987, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed one of the most memorable statements of the 20th Century. President Reagan declared, “General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberation. Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” This historic charge aided in the destruction of the Berlin Wall that occurred in November 1989.

  • The Devil at Work

Back in the eternal age before the world began, God lived in heaven with all the angels around Him.  Satan was the highest angel, but his high position made him proud and he rebelled against God.

Pride cannot stand before God so he lost his high position and was cast out of heaven. Since being expelled he has been trying to defeat the purpose and work of God in every way he can.  He knows he can’t get at God directly so he attacks man, God’s creature.
