This morning, looking out my kitchen window watching the snow fall, I thought of the scripture, “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” (Isaiah 1:18) White snow, pure and clean.
Jesus, who knew no sin, died on the cross for us sinners. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). He bore our sins so we who believe could be washed clean by the shedding of his blood.
