  • The Way to Good Days in 2018

The Apostle Peter says, “Whoever would love life and see good days must …” (1Peter 3:10-12). Peter goes ahead to tell us some things that we must do to see these good days. These are fascinating verses as we enter a new year for all of us would like good days in 2018.

  • Finding joy

Joy is not automatic. It is a choice we make. We must be intentional about listening, believing, receiving, seeking, and then remaining in joy. By nature we default to despair, discouragement, distrust, and depression. How did your Christmas go? How did your 2017 go? Did you find joy? If not, do you want to? If so, do you want more joy in 2018? Here are a few tips from God on finding joy in our short-lived lives!

“Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” Luke 2:10

  • Wise men - Then and now

There are so many questions about the wise men who journeyed to see the newborn King --- who were they?  From where did they come?  How did they know to follow the star?  How many were there?

They seem to come out of nowhere, worship the newborn King and disappear back into nowhere.  Legend tells us things about their origin, their number and their person.

  • Bethlehem - Then and Now

At Bethlehem God became flesh and dwelt among us. The Lord of heaven came down to earth. This amazing Christ who came to Bethlehem wants to come and live in our hearts. He will spiritually come in, live and fellowship with us if we will invite Him.

  • Three Christian traits to strive for in 2018

As we approach the end of 2017 and launch into 2018, many of us will be making resolutions for the new year. But one resolution that must ever be present in the life of a believer is to live out a life that is centered on the leading and presence of Christ. The Apostle Paul declares to a young Timothy three important characteristics of a believer in 2 Timothy 2:4-6 in the usage of three illustrations.

  • Come ye lowly

The Bible says, “there were some shepherds” (Luke 2:8) --- simple, ordinary shepherds. It was to these ordinary and lowly men that the angel announced the birth of Jesus Christ.

  • Family probs

Got family problems? Drama? Division? Discord? If so, you aren’t alone, and this Christmas season can be extra difficult as you prepare to spend time with those who may be difficult to be with, so what should you do?

  • Which Jesus do you choose to follow?

At the end of 2015, the Gallup Poll released data stating 75% of Americans identified with Christianity. This number was down by roughly 5% since 2008, but still stands as a overwhelming majority of individuals within our country. At the same time, we find that the gathering of the church across America is in a state of plateau or decline. The ultimate question then must be asked, “Which Jesus is being followed?”
