• Accept the Challenge

Recently my wife and I traveled to Sandersville, Georgia for my 60th high school class reunion.  Only 18 of a class of 71 were able to attend.  Several have died and others were not able to make the trip.  As the class president in 1955-56 they asked me to speak to the group.

  • Lessons from Jesus

“Learn from Me.”  These are words of Jesus found in Matthew 11:29 and they picture Jesus as a teacher.  His disciples were invited to sit at His feet and learn from Him.  Jesus taught many wonderful lessons in the short time He was on earth.

Have you wondered what Jesus would teach if He were here today?  We don’t have to ponder this because we have not been left in the dark about what He desires for us.   His instruction, inspiration, and guidance are found in His Word, the Bible.

  • Which Jesus Do You Choose to Follow?

At the end of 2015, the Gallup Poll released data stating 75% of Americans identified with Christianity. This number was down by roughly 5% since 2008, but still stands as a overwhelming majority of individuals within our country. At the same time, we find that the gathering of the church across America is in a state of plateau or decline. The ultimate question then must be asked, “Which Jesus is being followed?”

  • Witness

    By Jonathan Carl

    Guest Columnist

Have you ever seen a witness appear in court? Why is a witness called to show up and speak out?

Witnesses have something important to say. They have a responsibility to truthfully share what they have experienced. I am sure it can be an intimidating experience in a courtroom, with some opposed to one’s testimony, but when we are summoned by an authority we must testify.

  • What have I done?

God sent Jeremiah to preach repentance to the people and warn them of the wrath to come.  Jeremiah saw how good God was to His people, but in spite of this he saw the people’s sin and idolatry.  The result was that Jeremiah wept with a broken heart.  He listened for the people to seek God’s forgiveness, but no one sought the Lord in repentance.  No one cried out, “What have I done”? (Jeremiah 8:6).

  • The Truth About Eternity

    By Paul Richey

Eternity is a reality for everyone. Each individual will spend eternity in one of two locations, heaven or hell. Unfortunately, many Americans have fallen prey to a plethora of deceptions that have blocked this truth from our minds and as a result many have fallen prey to sloppy understanding of what lies ahead. The truth is, each of us will exist forever and that location of existence will be based on our response to Jesus Christ.
