Our deepest sympathy goes to the family of Elder Joseph Payne who passed away last Wednesday. He was the pastor of Eunice Church of God in Columbia. His Homegoing Celebration was last Wednesday morning at Eunice Church of God. He and his congregation had a close bond with one another. First Baptist visited Eunice Church of God every year on the third Sunday in September for their Friendship Day. One of their members Carolyn Payne Cox is married to one of our deacons, Robert “Bobby” Cox. Both churches are like one big “Happy Family.”
