A Dance will be held at the LaRue County Senior Center Corner 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., November 6, at the corner of Water Street and Walters Hodgenville. With all the holidays around the corner, I have smiled when I encounter people starting their Christmas shopping among the Halloween candy. Their Christmas list is ready and they are crossing gifts off while others wait closer to December 24 to start.
Let’s continue in prayer for the families connected to the individuals that are listed as well as all the sick, shut-ins, hospitals, nursing homes, jails, prisons, our country and most of all, pray for one another.
Revival at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home was a great success. Hats off to Sunrise Manor for having various activities for the residents and community. Sunday, October 25 was Youth Sunday at Lane Lincoln.

I went to the open house at Robin Brook assisted living on Thursday, October 15. What a beautiful place! Friday, October 16, we went to the movies to see The Ghost and Mr. Chicken. I love that movie! Try coming up with a name like that.
The Boyhood Home Unit at Knob Creek, part of the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park is now open. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 7 days a week. The park will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day. For more information, visit www.nps.gov/abli.
Judson and Sarah Dohn are proud to announce the birth of their son John Thomas Dohn. John is named after his late great Papaw John Thomas Pearman.
John was born September 9, 2015 at 4:15 p.m. He weighed 8 pounds and 3 ounces and was 20 inches long.
John’s paternal grandparents are Joe and Glenda Pearman Dohn of Hodgenville, great grandparents are Dixie Farmer Pearman of Hodgenville and the late John Thomas Pearman, Fred and Nannie Berry Dohn of Rineyville and great-great grandparent Ruby Sherrard Berry of Rineyville.
