    Farmer Propane Plus of Munfordville, recently celebrated their customer appreciation day with a free propane giveaway. On September 1, the winners of a 100 gallons of free propane were announced. The lucky winners were Gary Marsh and Linda Sloan.

    LaRue County Class of 1985 will be having a 30 year reunion, October 17 at Arrowhead BBQ located at  195 Lee Oak Drive, Hodgenville from 6-11 p.m. The cost is $20 per person; this includes the meal.     County Quilt Club

    The County Quilt Club will meet monthly at the Extension Office at 807 Old Elizabethtown Road in Hodgenville on the 2nd Wednesdays of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring a project to work on or any recent quilt work to show and share. During the next meeting on September 9, Myra Vance will be demonstrating a twisting pinwheel design. The free event is open to everyone.

    I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend. The Durham High School reunion was last weekend in Campbellsville.

    First Baptist- Bible Study will be Wednesday, September 9 at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Septmber 10 at 6 p.m. will be choir rehearsal. Friend’s Day is Sunday, September 21. Rev. Wilkinson and First Baptist will fellowship with Eunice Church of God in Columbia. for Friend’s Day. Sunday, September 28 will be “Old Fashion Day.” Everyone is asked to dress in old attire as in the earlier years.

    Apple Crisp

    6 medium apples, cored,

    peeled and thinly sliced

    2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

    1 tablespoon sugar

    1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    1/4 cup all-purpose flour

    1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats

    3 tablespoons light brown sugar

    2 tablespoons reduced-fat margarine 

    Preheat oven to 400 degree F. Coat a 9-inch microwave-safe pie plate with cooking spray.
