Kenneth and Mary Rita (Brey) Gibson will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on June 16.
The couple was married at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Howardstown on June 16, 1951.
The couple have three sons; Kenny Ray of Campbellsville, Joey also of Campbellsville, and Dorman of White House, TN. The couple also have three daughters, Eugenia (Jeannie) Butler of Sonora, Venita Hawkins of Mt. Sherman, and Viola Hawkins of Allendale, as well as 12 grandchildren, 1 step granddaughter, and 20 great-grandchildren.
Alison Hines, formerly of Hodgenville and Kelly Thompson of Maysville are pleased to announce their engagement. Alison is the daughter of Jeannie and Gary Bell and the late Tim Hines, sister of Cheryl Miller. Hines currently lives in Georgetown and is a supervisor for Child Protective Services. Thompson is the son of Kim Thompson and Bill Thompson, brother of Tracey Thompson-Clark. He currently lives in Georgetown and is a team leader for Toyota. The couple ill be married in Wilmore at Estes Chapel in July.

Another Relay for Life has come and gone and once again. LaRue County has done an excellent job in supporting this great cause as they raised $60602.49. Way to go to all the teams and individuals that dedicated so much time and energy into this great cause.
Sunday, May 29, was the McDougal family reunion at the Hodgenville Community Center. Sunday was also Communion Sunday at First Baptist and Lane Lincoln. Arneva Smith was recognized, as she celebrated her 89th birthday. She is the second oldest member at First Baptist.
