Byers had been involved in performances at the PAC while he attended LaRue County High School from 2003 to 2007; and has since been involved in productions with Pandora, Stephen Foster Amphitheater, Northern Kentucky University and the University of Louisville.
What started as a whisper of hope ended in a shout of joy in 1865 when freedom came, and that same enthusiasm swept LaRue County on Sunday, June 16, when celebrants gathered to remember that blessed news once again. And what better place to recall the original announcement of freedom than the “Cradle of Emancipation” where the noble ideas of freedom were born along with the noble man who would suffer martyrdom to achieve them.
