    Classical piano recital at ECTC
    Elizabethtown Community and Technical College will host a classical piano recital by pianist Frances Scott in the atrium of the Regional Postsecondary Center at 7 p.m. Nov. 14.

  • Hodgenville trio to perform in Campbellsville

    The Campbellsville University School of Music will combine with the efforts of the Central Kentucky Arts Series to perform Handel’s “Messiah” at Campbellsville Baptist Church at 6 p.m. Nov. 17. The church is located at 420 N. Central Ave., Campbellsville.

    Under the direction of Dr. Tony Cunha, dean of the School of Music, the program will consist of the most well known and loved airs, and choruses of “Messiah,” including the famous “Hallelujah” Chorus. The public is invited to the free concert.

  • BIRTH: Welcome, Colton Elisha Lewis

    Bryson Elisha Lewis announces the birth of a baby brother, Colton Elisha Lewis.

    Colton Elisha was born Oct. 24, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.

    Their parents are Adam and Danielle Lewis.

    Grandparnets are Sid and Judy Lewis, and Lisa and Daniel Humphrey.

  • ENGAGEMENT: Whitley Blair and Benjamin Milby

    Bridgette and Rocky Blair of Hodgenville, and Melissa “Missy” and Troy Milby of Buffalo, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Whitley Blair and Benjamin Milby.

    The bride to be is a 2012 graduate of Central Hardin High School and is pursuing an Allied Health Degree at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. She is employed as a property manager at Vineland Carriage Homes of Vine Grove.

    Jessica Ann Rupert and Jeffery Dwane Knopp, both of Louisville, announce their engagement and forthcoming wedding.

    The bride to be is the daughter of Katy and Don Rupert of Shelbyville. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville and a paralegal at Pitt and Frank Attorneys.

    The prospective groom is the son of Anna Faye Knopp of Hodgenville, and the late Ronnie Knopp.

    He is a graduate of the University of Louisville and a supervisor at UPS.

    The wedding is 5:30 p.m. June 21, 2014, at Highland Baptist Church of Louisville.

    Elizabethtown Community and Technical College will present a concert by an outstanding a cappella choir, the Louisville Vocal Project.

    The concert is 6:30 p.m. Nov. 21 in the Science Auditorium of the College. The public is invited and there is no admission charge.
