The Chamber hosted the first Business Owners meeting on Thursday, April 27 with 14 businesses represented. Ideas were shared to find ways to promote shopping local. Since the business meeting local business owners have formed Lincoln Merchants and created a Facebook page. These are local business owners uniting to promote each other.

  • REAL ID a real solution for Kentuckians

In 2005, Congress enacted legislation enhancing national security by adding new requirements for state driver’s licenses and other official ID cards. In an effort to comply with the standards, the General Assembly passed House Bill 410 this session, also known as REAL ID.

While there has been some concern over the federal requirements, the measure recently passed in Kentucky complies with federal standards while making the new travel ID voluntary, and I want to ensure every citizen of House District 24 is informed on this new policy.
