Caregiving can be stressful, and these stresses can be exacerbated around the holidays as you are faced with added responsibilities and obligations.
Whether this is your first holiday season as a caregiver or you have been providing care for years, you can do several things to make the holidays easier on you, the person you're caring for and your extended family and friends by following these recommendations:
A trio of fundraisers is planned this weekend for a local man who is recovering from injuries sustained when he fell from a tree stand.
Louie Payne, who owns Arrowhead Archery & BBQ, was hunting with a friend in Hardin County on Oct. 16. He was cinching a safety strap on the tree stand, when it snapped. He fell about 25-feet, breaking four ribs and vertebrae.
He was transported to University of Louisville Hospital where he underwent surgery. He has returned home but is traveling daily to Frazier Rehab in Louisville. The therapy will last 12 weeks.
