  • Birth Announcement

    Sarah and Wesley Keplinger, of New Haven, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter Anna Lea Keplinger.

    Anna was born March 9 at 8:30 a.m. at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She weighed 9 pounds and was 20 1/2 inches long.

    Maternal grandparents are Barb and Ed Kantor of New Haven. Paternal grandparents are Tammy Keplinger of Elizabethtown and Dale Keplinger and Jenny Durrett of Elizabethtown.

    Anna was welcomed home by her sister Zoey, 2 years old.

    The Lincoln Trail Area Development District Board of Directors will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16 at the Lincoln Trail ADD office in Elizabethtown.

    Extension Expo

    The Annual LaRue County Extension Expo will be held on Saturday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the LaRue County High School Gymnasium. Approximately 75 local businesses and organizations are planning to participate.     Thought for the week: The person who tries to keep everyone happy and always cares for everyone is always the loneliest person. Strange but true.

    Last Saturday, we met brother Dale, Judy and Josh LaFollette  from Florence, brother Danny LaFollette from Shepherdsville, niece Brittany LaFollette, great niece Addie LaFollette, Austin Strothoff, Yvonne LaFollette all from Elizabethtown at Golden Corral for a mini family get together. It was nice to see everyone.

    We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Robert McDougal who passed away last Wednesday at his residence. His funeral was Monday afternoon at William R. Rust Funeral Home Chapel in Hodgenville and burial was Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

    First Baptist- Wednesday, March 16 will be Bible Study. Sunday, March 27, Easter morning services will begin at 9 a.m. Have a great and safe week.
