  • Bardstown's Buttermilk Festival seeks vendors

     The Buttermilk Days Festival Committee is now taking applications for arts and crafts vendors as well as food and refreshment vendors for this year’s festival which will be Aug. 23-25 on South Third Street in Bardstown.

    The three-day festival will again include a homemade wine-tasting and wild meat cookout on Thursday evening, a kids street concert on Friday night, the famous Buttermilk Days breakfast on Saturday morning and the third annual street concert on Saturday evening.

  • ENGAGEMENT: Ashley Nicole Lee and Brandon Kyle Scott

     Scotty and Robin Lee of Hodgenville announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Ashley Nicole Lee to Brandon Kyle Scott, son of George and Ruth Scott of Raywick.

    The bride to be is the granddaughter of Billy and Joyce Lee of Hodgenville and Lois Hay and the late George Hay of Eastview. She is a graduate of LaRue County High School and the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College respiratory therapy program. She is employed at Taylor Regional Hospital as a registered respiratory therapist.

  • ANNIVERSARY: Lewises celebrate 40 years

     Dale and Jan Lewis of Buffalo will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 17, 2012.

    They were married June 17, 1972 by Judge Earl Scott at the LaRue County Courthouse.

    They have one son, Christopher Dale Lewis and two grandchildren.

    They will enjoy their day with family.

  • Lincoln Museum plans fundraiser

     The Lincoln Museum will have a fundraiser beginning at 5 p.m. June 23 at Crossroad Country Inn and School House, 1906 McCubbins Road, Hodgenville. The event opens with appetizers by Claudia’s Tea Room and Friends of the Museum and art exhibit by Phyllis Blakeman in the Crossroads School House.

    A ribeye dinner will be served at 6 p.m. on the grounds of Crossroads Country Inn followed by desserts by Paula’s Hot Biscuit, Ray’s Hodgenville Grill, Sugar Fashion Cakes and Friends of the Museum.
