    Jason and Tiffany Heath of Turners Station are proud to announce the birth of their son, Justin Ty Heath.

    Justin Ty was born at 10 a.m. Aug. 8, 2013, at Frankfort Regional Hospital.

    He weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

    He was welcomed home by siblings Cody, 5, and Jaycie, 15.

    Grandparents are Jan Gardner of Louisville; and Pat and Beverly Heath of Hodgenville.

    LaRue County High School Soccer Coach Derek Bell and Tammy Bell would like to announce the arrival of their first grandchild, Tamryn Jolene.

    Mother Amanda Dobson gave birth to a future Lady Hawk at 11:33 a.m. Sept. 14, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. Tamryn Jolene weighed 6 pounds 6 ounces and was 18 inches long.

    James, Kacey and big brother Jaden, 5, McBride, announce the birth of Jaxen Kenden McBride.

    Jaxen Kenden was born at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 19 1/2-inches long.

    Maternal grandparents are Henry And Theresa Warren of Hodgenville.

    Paternal grandparents are Jerry and Brenda McBride of Buffalo.

  • ENGAGEMENT: Scott - Eastridge

    Erik and Myra Scott of Elizabethtown announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Taylor Scott, to Jay Eastridge, son of Pat and Donetta Eastridge of Sonora.

    The bride-to-be is a 2012 graduate of Western Kentucky University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She is a registered nurse in the newborn nursery at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

  • Earl Lobb celebrates 99th

    Earl Lobb of Hodgenville will celebrate his 99th birthday Sept. 18, 2013.

    He was married to Mary Louise Mather Lobb for more than 50 years.

    They have one daughter, Joyce Mae Lobb Rock. He is pictured with his dog, Rex.

    EHLRTA to meet
    The Elizabethtown, Hardin, LaRue Retired Teachers’ Association will meet 11:30 a.m. Sept. 19 in the atrium of Severns Valley Baptist Church, 1100 Ring Road. Lunch is $10.   • Historic home day in Hardinsburg

    The Judge Joseph Holt Home, located at 6205 Highway 144 in Hardinsburg in Breckinridge County, will hold its Fifth Annual Holt Home Community Day 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 28.

    Judge Holt served as prosecuting judge of the Lincoln Conspiracy Trial, first Judge Advocate General, and top legal advisor for the U.S. Army and President Abraham Lincoln.

    The keynote speaker is Col. Frederic L. Borch (Ret.), regimental historian and archivist of the Judge Advocate General School in Charlottesville, Va.

    The home is undergoing renovation this year.
