“Ewww, not broccoli!” or “I’m not eating those carrots!” are common phrases echoed by many children at mealtimes, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Parents can do several things to get children to eat and enjoy a variety of fruits and vegetables. Children develop food preferences at an early age so the earlier and more often children eat vegetables, the better.
As a part of our community’s preparation for LaRue County’s Relay for Life event on May 11-12 at Hodgenville Elementary School, the local Relay for Life Committee is recognizing individual cancer survivors and their stories. This week, Mary Ann Crain, breast cancer survivor, is featured.
Employees of Amedisys Home Health volunteered at Warm Blessings Soup Kitchen serving and cleaned up for a recent Thursday meal. Amedisys staff also made a donation of $525 to the program. Family and friends surprised Lorene Noe with a party March 10 honoring her 80th birthday.
Attending were her children, Arthur Noe, Carolyn Noe, Ruby Stearman, James Noe, Brenda Skaggs, Lou Loyall, Wayne Loyall and Ricky and Sandra Loyall.
