Nutty Scientist at library
The Nutty Scientist will bring a science program to the LaRue County Public Library at 1 p.m. April 2. This spring break program is a preview of the summer reading program. For more information, call 270-358-3851.
Ian Mather, a 2010 graduate of LaRue County High School and current senior at Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, has accepted a position with the McLeod Summer Playhouse at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill. Mather will play the starring role of Wilbur in the playhouse’s production of Charlotte’s Web, and will also have roles in Oklahoma and Spamalot.

The Stephen Foster Drama Association announced the lineup for the 2014 Budweiser Live at the Park Concert Series at a kickoff luncheon Thursday.
The lineup includes a recent winner of NBC’s “The Voice,” a band that is returning for the second straight year and a group whose performance in last year’s concert series was cut short because of rain.
What started out as a conversation about places you would like to go, turned into a reality for Joyce Williams.
Joyce, 81, is an elder at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home who attends some activities, but not outings. One day she mentioned to me, “I’d really like to go to Graceland,” and I responded, “OK, we can go in the spring.”
The third annual Relay for Life Survivor Dinner was held last week at First Baptist Church Hodgenville. Abraham Lincoln Elementary School's Jr. Beta was well represented at the dinner as table waiters and servers.
