    Thanks for the Blessings

    The Sunrise Volunteers will have “Thanks for the Blessings” presentation, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 20 in the Civic Center (Old First Baptist building) in Hodgenville featuring local talented singers.     Christmas card making class

    The LaRue County Public Library Adult Program will have a Christmas card making class at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 19 at the library. To register for the class call 270-358-3851.

    Annual Christmas Bazaar

    Family Worship Center annual Christmas Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 18 and 19. The event will be held at 343 Tanner Road, Hodgenville. For more Information call 270-358-8903.

  • DAR chapters participate in “Lady Veteran Connect” project

    Five chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution met at Bardstown on November 5, 2016.

    The chapters that met were Cox’s Station (Cox’s Creek), Captain Jacob Van Meter (Elizabethtown), Grayson Springs (Leitchfield), John Fitch (Bardstown) and Salt River (Shepherdsville) Chapters. The event was hosted by Cox’s Station Chapter. Rose Cooper, Joyce Miller, Dolly Marcum, Linda King and Beverly Heath represented Captain Jacob Van Meter Chapter.

    Carlos Cox has returned from Hardin Memorial Hospital. Rosleen Price has returned home from Sunrise Manor. Dorothy Embree Barnes will be having surgery this Wednesday morning at Hardin Memorial Hospital. Randy Sloan is a resident at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.

    Mike Mountain passed away Monday, November 14 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was the husband to Patricia “Trish” Thurman Mountain of Hodgenville.

    Hodgenville senior dance

    LCHS cheerleader fundraiser

    The LaRue County High School cheerleaders are hosting their third annual Daddy Daughter Dance from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, November 11 at the Hodgenville Elementary School.

    The dance is open to all girls fifth grade and younger.  Tickets bought in advance are $15 or $20 at door.  For more information call Angela Miller at 270-268-3163 or Melissa Jones at 270-766-9596.
