This Christmas season has been another busy time at Sunrise Manor. Family visitation is at a peak for the year and many activities are planned for residents. Volunteers help in many of these activities.
The LaRue County Senior Citizens Center, 112 N. Walters Ave., Hodgenville, has music beginning at 6:30 p.m. every Saturday. Musicians and singers are welcome. For more information, call 270-358-4311 or e-mail Viola Riggs at email@example.com.
Saint Catherine Academy in New Haven held “Breakfast with Santa” Dec. 14. Children were able to meet and take pictures with Santa, do holiday crafts and eat breakfast. Right, Wade Carter is pictured telling Santa what he wants for Christmas.
Sunrise Manor Cro-knitters meet 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home. The community is welcome. This past year, residents and ladies from the community made 40 hats on looms for Headstart children. The group made hats the last two years and will begin a new project in 2014. Due to holidays falling on Wednesday, Jan. 8 will be the next meeting date. For more information, call Candy D. Vincent at 270-358-3169.
