The Elizabethtown Area Christian Women’s Connection’s bi-monthly luncheon and annual bazaar was Nov. 12. About 50 women from Elizabethtown, Radcliff, Hodgenville, Vine Grove, Cecilia and Leitchfield attended. The Kentucky Railway Museum is holding its annual dinner and fundraiser auction on Nov. 16 at The Paroquet Springs Conference Center in Shepherdsville.
Projects at the museum include restoration of historic locomotives and cars, including a 1905 operating steam locomotive, a 1940 Diesel passenger locomotive, and a 1920’s vintage dining car, as well as expenses to operate and maintain a 17-mile shortline railroad on which the public can enjoy a vintage train trip.
