The LaRue County Public Library, 201 S. Lincoln Blvd., Hodgenville, has several new offerings:
BOOKS – Threats and Promises by Barbara Delinsky; River of Mercy by B.J. Hoff; Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling; Cutting Edge by Linda Howard; Sweet Talk by Julie Garwood; Fallen Masters by John Edward; Tales From Kentucky Funeral Homes by Williams Lyn Montell; and Lincoln's Last Days by Bill O'Reilly.
The Kentucky Railway Museum is holding its annual dinner and fundraiser auction on Nov. 16 at The Paroquet Springs Conference Center in Shepherdsville.
Projects at the museum include restoration of historic locomotives and cars, including a 1905 operating steam locomotive, a 1940 Diesel passenger locomotive, and a 1920’s vintage dining car, as well as expenses to operate and maintain a 17-mile shortline railroad on which the public can enjoy a vintage train trip.
For the first time in its 36-year history, the Kentucky Repertory Theatre in Horse Cave will mount four holiday plays to be performed in rotating repertory beginning with the opening of the musical “Little Women” on Nov. 23 and continuing until the last performance of Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol on Dec. 23.
Christmas Carol opens Nov. 30; Yes, Virginia opens Dec. 1; and Santaland Diaries opens Dec. 7.
