    Little league reunion rescheduled for July 6
    There will be a reunion of all men who played in the inaugural year of Little League (1956) 7 p.m., July 6 at LaRue County Park and Recreation. For more information, call Ed Lewis at 769-8290.

    Kicking Cancer Kickball Tournament
    The “Kicking Cancer” kickball tournament will be June 30 at LaRue County Park and Recreation. Entry fee is $50 per team of 10 players. Youth division is 6th-12th grade; adult coed division is age 18 and must have minimum of three female players per team. Trophies awarded to two top teams.   • BIRTH: Raglands welcome Corydon Lee

     Caleb and Leanne Ragland of Hodgenville announce the birth of a son, Corydon Lee Ragland, on May 19, 2012.

    Corydon Lee was born at 8:18 p.m. at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

    He is welcomed home by a brother, Charlie, 2.

     Sarah Gray and Caleb Masure announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

    The bride to be is the daughter of Michael and Tonya Gray of Buffalo. She is employed by Laugh–N–Learn Daycare.

    The prospective groom is the son of David and Von Masure of Hodgenville. He is employed by Greenbrier Rail Services.

    The wedding is 3 p.m. July 7, 2012, at Sportsman Lake, Hodgenville with Bro. Danny Wallace officiating. A reception will follow at the same location.

    All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

  • COLUMN: Jam-making class is June 22

     Learn to make jam from berries at a home canning class at the LaRue County Extension Office 2-4 p.m. Friday, June 22. The Extension Service is located at 807 Old Elizabethtown Road. This class is free but you need to call 358-3401 to register. The class will be taught by Abby Tate, EFNEP assistant – Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program.

     Tim and Suzanne Dennis of White Mills announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sarah Lynn Dennis, to Tyler Wells, son of Dennis and Judy Wells of Hodgenville.

    The bride to be, a graduate of Central Hardin High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Kentucky, is a mechanical engineer at Belcan Corporation in Lexington.

    The prospective groom, a graduate of LaRue County High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Kentucky, is an electrical engineer employed at Lexmark Inc. in Lexington.

     Andrew Leckie and Liz Okeson, both of Lexington, were united in marriage before God, family and friends, May 26, 2012, at Cave Hill Vineyard in Eubank.

    The bride is the daughter of Obadiah and Rebekah Okeson of Hodgenville.

    The groom is the son of Carolyn Leckie of Paintsville and Drew Leckie of Lexington.
