    On April 1, Kyknitwits knitting group met at Back Home Restaurant for their second mini get together. There were eight who attended. We enjoyed lunch together and got in some knitting and crocheting. I loved seeing everyone.

    Last Sunday, Reverend Aaron Moss and Lane Lincoln CME Church were the guests at Embry Chapel AME Church in Elizabethtown for their choir anniversary.

    Janet Handley is improving. She is now at the residence of her daughter, Leslie. Carrie Arnette will be having outpatient surgery this Wednesday in Louisville.

    Adrian and Moniea Loyall celebrate 60 years of marriage April 14, 2016.  Adrian Loyall, an Air Force veteran that served during the Korean conflict, has owned and managed many small businesses during the years including Morrison Farm Service in Hodgenville. The most recent was the ice cream trailer that he and his wife Moniea partnered and operated called M&M Homemade Ice Cream.  It was a venture that brought the whole family together.

    Tanner and Brooklynn Skaggs proudly announce the birth of their brother, Raylan Tate Skaggs, who was born Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.

    Buffalo Fire and Rescue

    The Buffalo Fire and Rescue have a free 8x10 professional color family portrait for a donation of $25 or more. A representative from Parish Promotions will go door to door in the coverage area with an I.D. to collect and give out receipts. Buffalo Fire and Rescue is asking for $25 or more to help with purchasing turnout gear.

  • Don Cottrell retirement

    Don Cottrell of Elizabethtown has retired as a financial representative in Modern Woodmen of America’s Kentucky West Region.

    A U.S. Army veteran and former Baptist pastor, Cottrell joined Modern Woodmen in 1969 and has earned several accolades from the fraternal financial services organization. He has been recognized for his business achievements through membership in Modern Woodmen’s Century Club, President’s Club and President’s Cabinet, which annually honor successful representatives.
