    LaRue County High School graduating class of 1966 will have a reunion at 6 p.m. on October 1 at Buffalo Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

    The Lincoln Trail Area Development District Development Board of Directors will meet at 1:30 p.m. on September 21 at the Lincoln Trail ADD office in Elizabethtown.

    Community Action Board Meeting

    Central Kentucky Community Action, Inc. area Board of Directors meeting will be held at 2:30 p.m. September 21 at the Lincoln Trail Area Development District office located at 613 College Street, Elizabethtown, KY. The meeting is open to the public.

    PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE

    CHEESECAKE JARS

    Crust:

    2 cups of chocolate cookie crumbs (about 9 ozs.)

    6 T butter, melted

    Filling:

    12 ozs cream cheese, softened (about ¾ cup)

    1 ½ cups pumpkin puree

    ½ cup sugar

    ½ t salt

    ½ t cinnamon

    ¼ t nutmeg

    1/8 t ground cloves

    1 t vanilla extract

    ¼ cup bittersweet chocolate chips

    Reverend Thomas Hill, former pastor at Siberia Baptist Church, passed away last week. His homecoming services were last weekend in Bowling Green.

    Happy 35th anniversary to Reverend Jerry and Rosalyn Wilkinson whose anniversary was on Tuesday. On Saturday, October 1 at 5 p.m., there will be an installation service for Reverend Jeff Yocum at First Baptist in Perryville. He has preached several Sundays at First Baptist.

    Thought for the week: Life comes around once, so do whatever makes you happy and be with whoever makes you smile.

    Last Saturday I walked the 5k walk/run at the Iron Horse Festival in New Haven. It was my first official walk and I won third place in 50 or over group with a time of 3 miles in 48 minutes.

    On Sunday we attended the 2016 Lyons Station Class reunion and I enjoyed seeing everyone.

    Carlos Cox is in rehab at Hardin Memorial Hospital. This Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. will be the Sunrise Manor Hoedown at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home. This is open to the public. All families and friends that has residents at the nursing are encouraged to attend. This is an enjoyable event that is well supported and attended. Sunday was the annual Homecoming at Second Baptist Church in Greensburg.
