A benefit dinner and auction to help with medical expenses of Mary Jane Price will be held Saturday June 25 at Linwood Fire Department. There will be a Gospel Singing and a BBQ dinner. We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of John Williams of Glasgow who passed away Sunday, June 12. His funeral was last Saturday afternoon at First Baptist in Glasgow with Reverend Jeff Williams officiating. Burial was at the Lou Greene Cemetery. He was the brother to Denise Stewart of Hodgenville.

President Teddy Roosevelt, defender of the great outdoors, will visit central Kentucky on July 4th, 2016, in honor of the Centennial of the National Park Service. Living history presenter Joe Wiegand will make presentations at Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park, Hodgenville, and the Historic State Theater in Elizabethtown.
