When Becky Thompson decided to start a Relay for Life team six years ago, she knew it would not be easy for a small team like hers, but after her 2010 diagnosis she had a deep commitment to Relay’s cause. This past year, her sister lost her battle with cancer and Becky became even more determined to help.
Thought for the week: Someday everything will make perfect sense. So, for now, laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears and keep reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason.
On Saturday, April 8, I did my first 5k walk sponsored by First Baptist Church Relay for Life team Living Strong. They had a good turnout. I ran three miles in 50 minutes and I paid for it on Sunday. My legs hurt like crazy. I need to get more walking in before next one comes up.
LaRue County Schools participated in LaRue County Education Week March 20-24. Pictured are the students throughout the LaRue County School district that won a drawing for their grade level and got their picture made with Superintendent Sam Sanders and the Hawk mascot.
