    Carlos Cox has been transferred to rehab at Hardin Memorial Hospital. The 151st annual session of the General Association of Kentucky Baptists will convene this week at the Convention Center in Bowling Green. This Sunday morning, First Baptist will fellowship with Lane Lincoln. Sunday, August 7, will be the Church Anniversary and Annual Homecoming at Pleasant Union Baptist Church in Campbellsville. Sunday, August 14 will be our 136th Church Anniversary and Annual Homecoming during morning services.

    Wellness on Wheels

    Hardin Memorial Hospital’s WOW Wellness on Wheels will be located at Save-A-Lot in Hodgenville from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on August 15. The unit will be providing the following preventative wellness screenings: blood pressure, body fat analysis, body mass index & blood glucose-no charge. Anemia screening-$5.00; Cholesterol panel which includes total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL, LDL and glucose for $20.00; Thyroid Screening- $15.00. No appointment necessary.     The Howardstown Homecoming to benefit the St. Ann’s School will begin with Mass at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 7 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Howardstown Food will be available from 2 to 6:30 p.m. There will be games, prizes and raffle tickets.   • Sleep in a box event

    Warm Blessings is gearing up for their ninth Cardboard Nation “Sleep in a Box” fundraiser and awareness event scheduled for the third Friday in September. Linda Funk, Warm Blessings Executive Director is pictured handing a box, which will be used at the event to Lowe’s employee, Jerome Maynard. Lowe’s has supported the fundraiser each year by saving big boxes to be used by Cardboard Nation participants as they spend a night in a box to recognize the challenges of poverty and homelessness. 

  • Birth Announcement: Anna Mae Roberts

    Ben and Angela Roberts of Hodgenville announce the birth of their daughter Annie Mae Roberts on January 12, 2016 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces and was 19 inches long. Sisters are Addie, 5; Audrie, 4 and Allie, 2.

    Grandparents are John and Diane Roberts of Hodgenville and Dan and Maxine Davis of Louisville.  

  • ANNIVERSARY: Davenports Celebrate 60 years

    Donald and Faye Davenport will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with their family August 3, 2016.

    Rev. Perry Ginn officiating married them August 3, 1956 at Hodgenville United Methodist Church.

    They have two children, Donnita (Jody) Gaddie of Buffalo and Terry (Kelly) Davenport of Hodgenville; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
