Last Saturday was the annual Williams, Johnson, Smith and Dixon Family Reunion at First Baptist. The Sunday morning services on September 25 was Old Fashion Days at First Baptist. Various members and friends were dressed in their old attire of the past. After the service, the culinary department had a “soul food dinner” for those in attendance.
Lane Lincoln held their Youth Sunday on September 25 where they had outdoor services for the community. Dinner was served after the service.
Thought for the week: While on this road called life, you have to like the good with the bad, smile when you’re sad, love what you got and remember what you had, always forgive but never forget, learn from mistakes but never regret, people change, things go wrong, but just remember the ride goes on!
Sure hope the weather is good for Lincoln Days. Not too hot with no rain. I attended the 2016 Quilt Show at Pritchard Community Center last Friday. They had some beautiful quilts there. Almost makes me want to try to make one, key word try.
