  • Hardin Memorial has worked to improve

    Thank you for the opportunity to share more about our vision of the future of Hardin Memorial Health (HMH). Our current construction of private rooms is only one part of an exciting, comprehensive vision positioning HMH for the future. Three years ago a strategic planning committee, comprised of Board members, physicians, community leaders, and hospital staff began a process that culminated in the development of a long-range strategic plan for HMH, which was unanimously approved by all members of the Board.

  • ENGAGEMENT: Clairmont & Ulis

    Myles Ulis, the son of Ashley M. Clairmont and Syd Ulis, announces their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

    The bride to be is the daughter of Lisa and Harold Sheroan.

    The prospective groom is the son of Charlotte and Monie Ulis.

    The wedding will be 2 p.m. Aug. 2, 2014, at Brown Pusey House in Elizabethtown. Reception to follow.

  • Technology at your library

    Through the years, the LaRue County Public Library has worked hard to provide materials, programs and an environment to be a community place. You can borrow items, participate in youth and adult programs, use computers or wireless access, research genealogy information, fax, scan, make copies or simply relax by enjoying conversation or reading the newspaper or a magazine.

  • Reunions

    1954 Hodgenville Class Reunion

    The Hodgenville High School Class of 1954 is holding its 60th reunion at 11 a.m. Aug. 2. at Hodgenville Methodist Church. Lunch will be served at noon and is $15 each. All class members and friends are invited. Reservations must be made by calling Donald Davenport at 270-358-3372.

     

    Howardstown Homecoming

    The Howardstown Homecoming is 2-6 p.m. Aug. 3 at Saint Ann’s School, 7500 Howardstown Road, New Haven. Raffle drawings are at 6 p.m.

    Ella Grace Bales is proud to announce the arrival of her brother, Tate Elijah Bales.

    Tate Elijah was born at 4:35 p.m. on April 28, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces and was 20 inches long.

    Tate’s parents are Nathan and Amanda Bales of Hodgenville. Maternal grandparents are Beverly and the late Roy Veirs of Hodgenville. Paternal grandparents are Richard and Rita Bales of Hodgenville.
