  • Fundraising Calendar - October 25, 2017

    Haunted Barn

    The Haunted Barn at the LaRue County Fairgrounds will be open Fridays and Saturdays from dark to 11:30 p.m. through November 4. Proceeds go toward funding a LCHS senior on the Senior trip as well as the sponsoring a child for the Hangin’ with Heroes holiday shopping trip. Tickets are $5.

    Relay Fundraiser

    Becky’s Team will be selling Rada Cutlery until December 1. Great for Christmas presents. A percentage goes to Relay for Life. To request a catalog or for more information contact Becky Thompson at 270-765-9310.

    This past Sunday morning was Youth Sunday at Lane Lincoln. Carlos Cox was at church this past Sunday morning at First Baptist. He would like to thank each and everyone for their prayers, visits, and calls while he was in the hospital, rehab and since his return home.

    This Sunday morning, First Baptist will fellowship with Lane Lincoln. The Hodgenville Brotherhood will provide the music and the morning sermon by Reverend Jerry Wilkinson.

    Thought for Today: Get up everyday, Love God and do your best. And He will do the rest!

    Thought for the week: You don’t get to choose how you’re going to die or when. You can only decide how you’re going to live now.

    We attended The Biscuit Marketplace event this past Sunday. The event had a great turn out and I got my jewelry fix. I got to visit with classmate June DeSpain Emberton for a few minutes and it was great seeing her.

    I loved the article on Joel Ray Sprowles in The LaRue County Herald News last week.

    Mom has been busy signing our Christmas cards. Now I have to find time to address them.

    Book Fair

    The Green County Genealogical Society will host a genealogy book fair on Saturday, November 4 from 8-2 p.m. CDT at the Greensburg-Green County Fire and Rescue Building on 312 Dakota Meyer Drive.     COURT BRIEFS

    Dustin Robert Allen entered a guilty plea to receiving stolen property (firearm) and is recommended to receive three years on a pretrial diversion program. His case is scheduled for a review on March 5, 2018 at 9 a.m. in LaRue County Circuit Court.

    Anthony J. Blackford failed to appear and had a bench warrant issued for his arrest.

    William Embry entered a guilty plea to an amended charge of carrying a concealed deadly weapon and is recommended to receive 12 months probation.
