  • Magnolia Bank elects new board chairman

    Ron Sanders, President and Chief Executive Officer of Magnolia Bank announced the election of Eric Garrett as Chairman of the Board of Magnolia Bank at the January 28, 2016 meeting of the board.

    Eric succeeds James Mason, who did not seek re-election to focus on Magnolia Bank’s new captive insurance company and holding company business. Eric has served on the board since 2005. In addition to serving as Chairman, Eric serves on the Executive, Loan, Asset/Liability, Audit, Secondary Market and Compensation committees of the Bank.

  • NATIONWIDE: Employee of the month

    Alex Bush has been selected as the January Employee of the Month for Nationwide Uniform. Alex has been employed with Nationwide since September of 2013 and is currently under the supervision of Ricky Kessinger in the cutting department. Alex will receive a special award for his dedication and service.

  • NATIONWIDE: Employee of the Year

    Nationwide Uniform Corporation is proud to announce that Martha Rose was selected as Employee of the Year for 2015. Martha has been employed with Nationwide since April 25, 1995. She is currently in the jacket department. She received a special award for her dedication and service at our annual Christmas program on December 23, 2015.

  • 2016 basketball homecoming court named
  • Community play scheduled this weekend

    LaRue County Drama will perform a well known comedic play next weekend entitled “You Can’t Take It With You.”

    The play will be performed in the LaRue County High School auditorium on Friday, February 12 at 7 p.m., Saturday, February 13 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, February 14 at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students. The show on Sunday can also include a dinner for $15 each.

  • Local blood drive is Febrary 9

    Local volunteers and donors are gearing up for another blood drive which is held at the Hodgenville Woman’s Club every other month. The American Red Cross has declared an emergency need for blood and platelet donors with severe winter weather canceling more than 300 blood drives across 20 states resulting in more than 9500 donations uncollected.

    According to the American Red Cross, on average they must collect more than 17,000 pints of blood for patients at more than 3,000 hospitals and transfusion centers across the United States.
