  • Guest speaker at Rotary

  • Gordon Thomas named KAAHC liaison

    Gordon Thomas has been named the liaison for LaRue County for the Kentucky African American Heritage Council.

    Thomas, a LaRue County native, is the son of Earl and Claudine Thomas of Hodgenville.
    He graduated from LaRue County High School in 1980 and studied at the University of Kentucky, Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, Morehead State and Shenandoah University.  

    Thomas will promote education and awareness of the African American experience as liaison.

     The South Fork Area Homemakers met April 16 at the LaRue County Extension office with the 17 members present: Virginia Allen, Delores Bale, Janice Bowen, Julie Devore, Ann E. Flanders, Emogene Gardner, Amanda Gatewood, Mary Lois Hornback, Clovis Johnson, Norma Jean McDonald, Martha Owen, Mary Lou Owen, Billie Shahayda, Della Thomas, Patsy Thomas, Sue Crutcher and Wanda West.
