 Sunrise Manor Executive Board members met Nov. 13.

Rita Smith, Kathy Cooper, Ruth Ann Brown, Emogene Gardner, Ann Easton, Tickle Ragland and Peggy Edwards attended.

Easton gave a report on the number of volunteers: 51 active and 29 sustaining. If anyone is interested in volunteering, contact Kathy Cooper at 358-3103.

Brown reported three funerals with 39 volunteers attending.

Ragland made a motion for Cooper to purchase Christmas gifts for Sunrise Manor and adult daycare residents.

The next meeting is Feb. 5.

 President Kay Bennett opened the recent meeting of National Active and Retired Federal Employees so more than 50 members and guests could enjoy a Thanksgiving feast. During the business meeting, Bennett announced that the June, July, and August meetings would be at 6:30 p.m.

Blue Cross Blue Shield representative Sue Horn brought the membership up to date with changes for 2013. Detailed information is available at www.fepblue.org.  Bennett reported that the 2014 National Convention will be in Orlando. Go to www.narfeky.org for more information. 

 The Hodgenville Rotary Club donated $200 to Ann “Snookie” Morrison and the Santa’s Helpers. The volunteer group is collecting toys, batteries and coats for the Christmas Eve run that provides gifts to families who need assistance during the holidays. Hodgenville Rotary President Kyle Williamson, right, presented the check to Morrison.
