Job seekers will have a new resource available in LaRue County, thanks to a $1.3 million grant.
LaRue is among 45 counties with a high unemployment rate to receive funding for a public library workforce center. The center, located in the LaRue County Public Library, will give residents more access to computers, training and job workshops.
LaRue County’s workforce center will open in the fall, perhaps as early as August, according to Paige Sexton of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.
