Construction crews are building a retaining wall in the area of Enlows Curve on U.S. 31-E. Chris Jessie, public information officer for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, said the wall will stabilize the ground beneath the roadway. Work to widen the roadway and straighten three curves will continue in the area through the summer months.
U.S. 31-E is being reduced to one lane as crews work on Devers, Enlow and Boyhood Home curves. A temporary signal, above, will be used to direct alternating one-way traffic. Delays of about 10 minutes may be expected
