A Hodgenville woman was injured Dec. 18 when she lost control of the truck she was driving on Old E’town Road.

Patricia Crume, 49, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado four-wheel drive pickup west toward Elizabethtown near the intersection with Carter Brothers Road, according to Deputy Brian Smith’s report. About 11:30 a.m., the tires dropped off the right edge of the roadway.

Crume overcorrected and the truck ran into a ditch and flipped about six times, coming to rest on the driver’s side in a cornfield.

The truck’s roof collapsed and Buffalo and LaRue County firefighters extricated Crume by using stabilizers on the side of the truck.

She was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by LaRue County EMS.

The roadway was closed about an hour.
