A New Haven woman was charged May 29 with possession of controlled substance and theft by unlawful taking.
According to court records, Mary Vanessa Obryan, 57, had rented a house in Hodgenville. When she vacated, she allegedly took a butcher block valued at $850 and landscaping valued at $322.57 from the residence. She also is accused of refusing to return the house key which cost the property owner $140 to gain entrance.
The court records also state that medications prescribed to other persons were found inside the house after she moved.
