A LaRue County woman, wanted in at least three counties for outstanding warrants, was arrested Oct. 9 at her home in Vine Grove.

Penny Lou Emerson, 49, formerly of Saint Joachim Road, Hodgenville, was wanted on 112 outstanding LaRue County warrants and nine from other counties, on charges ranging from forgery to theft by unlawful taking to parole violations, according to Deputy Eric Williamson.

“She’s been on the run since 2005,” Williamson said, “There are 67 felony warrants and 45 misdemeanors (in LaRue County alone).”

Williamson learned of her whereabouts in Meade County. He, along with Nelson County Deputy Dennis Wells and Kentucky State Trooper Adam Hutchinson, picked her up without incident.

Emerson was lodged in the LaRue County Detention Center. She will be arraigned Oct. 12 in LaRue District Court.
