Two local organizations are teaming up for the second time to help prevent LaRue County kids from going hungry on the weekends.
This August, the Kentucky Wolverines, a minor league football team from Hardin County, will reform a partnership with the LaRue County BackPack Program, a non-profit organization for local kids in need. The Wolverines, who first collaborated with the BackPack Program in 2008, will host the Wolverine Classic, a charity football game, at LaRue County High School to raise money for the backpacks. The team will play the Miami Valley Warriors.
