LaRue County is under a winter storm warning.
The National Weather Service has issued a warning for freezing rain and sleet which is in effect until 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Light precipitation will begin across the area later today. The intensity will pick up tonight and continue until early Wednesday.
Up to an inch of sleet or ice is forecast from west of Bowling Green to Lexington Metro.
Drivers are urged to use caution.
