A winter storm watch has been issued from Sunday morning to late Sunday night. Precipitation will begin as a light wintry mix before daybreak. Snowfall of 2 to 4 inches is possible over central Kentucky. The totals could change depending on the eventual track of the storm.
Slick roadways are possible and drivers are urged to use caution.
Temperatures are expected to fall rapidly to near zero by dawn on Monday. Wind chill is expected to be in the -10 to -25 range by dawn on Monday.
The cold air is expected to last through Tuesday morning.
