Why is 4-H important?

 Where would we be today without 4-H clubs and other associated programs? 

I remember being a 4-H member when I was in intermediate and middle school. Looking back, I really was not involved as much as I wanted to be other than going to the meetings at school once a month. I don’t think I ever really understood what 4-H was all about other than going with my friends to the meetings and skipping class.
