It’s unclear what caused a frame house on Bardstown Road to burn over the weekend.
The house, in the area known as White City, had been used for fire department training, according to LaRue County Fire Chief Jason Sadler.
“We had been using it as a training structure,” Sadler said. “We told (the owners) we couldn’t burn it.”
Sadler said the fire department was not called to contain the fire.
Other county officials had not responded to queries about the fire as of presstime.
